Name your 3 favorite VoIP news sites by posting a comment below! If your favorite site is not listed make sure to tell us about it.

I’m a fan of http://www.os-voip.com. They don’t update as much as other blogs but their articles are very detailed and in depth. The site is definitely full of excellent open source VoIP resources.
My picks.
1. Fierece VoIP
2. TMCnet
3. VoIP Monitor
My top 3 by actual usage:
1. FierceVoIP
2. GigaOM
3. Total Telecom (totaltele.com)
@MikeM I’m also a fan of OS VoIP, but for a different type of thinking: in-depth/analytical versus current/facts.
From LinkedIn
http://telephonyonline.com/
FierceVoIP is definitely in my top 3, nice to see others agree! I hit a lot of sites for new developments in VoIP tech, but these are the three I check the most:
1. GigaOM
2. Fierce VoIP
3. TMCnet
I’ll have to check out OS VoIP — two independent recommendations right off the bat.
Hard choice, I really like about 5 or 6 of them.
Based on general overall info, MY PICKS:
1. http://www.fiercevoip.com
2. http://www.voipplanet.com
3. http://www.tmcnet.com
From LinkedIn
http://www.searchUnifiedCommunications.com (formerly searchVoIP.com) is a great site for ‘Hot To’ VoIP info and goes well beyond general VoIP news. It provides IT managers with vendor-independent news, advice, product evaluation and educational tools that will help them best evaluate UC technologies, make strategic business and technical decisions all while managing their communications in a reliable and cost-effective manner.
1. Fierce VoIP
2. TMCNet
3. VoIP Planet
1. TMC, especially On RAD’s Radar (http://blog.tmcnet.com/on-rads-radar/)
2. Fierce VoIP
3. http://voip.biz-news.com/
I like voip.about.com
The articles are well in depth and you get to understand everything VoIP there.
Some great ones listed, a few leftfield alternatives
http://www.twibes.com/group/UnifiedCommunications – collection of twitter posts related to UC and VoIP
http://www.linkedin.com/groupRegistration?gid=47425 There is a news section within this Unified Communications Networking Group on Linked In – it has 9,000+ members
1. VoIP Monitor
2. GigaOM
3. VoIP Planet
From LinkedIn
I like TMC. http://www.tmcnet.com/voip/ They have good content and are very timely.
https://teliax.com/?referral_code=11 Take a look at our website if you are looking for a full service ITSP.

FierceVOIP works for me http://www.fiercevoip.com/ – I like the thorough and focused coverage of the players, major and minor, in the VoIP space. I also like the option to receive the newsletter (push to me, please) and the association with other Fierce topics.
From LinkedIn
Definitely check out (www.VoIP-news.com) its a great site and offers a lot of buyers guides and white papers for your businesses needs. They will help you figure out what system works best for you and your business. They also have a few sister sites that you can check out like ITmanagement.com and ITsecurity.com. Hope VoIP-News.com makes it onto your announcement August 4th.
Cheers!

nojitter.com is one of my favourites.
Honestly, I can’t believe you missed out one of the best VOIP blogs (http://voipguides.blogspot.com). Over 27000 something feed subscribers, its bigger than those so called VOIP news sites. This blog gets over half million pageviews per month.
dont just go by their domain names which has news word for the sake of it. VOIP Guide gives more real content and analysis than these news sites scraping from google news. I think you must include http://voipguides.blogspot.com for this competition.
other notables are andyabramson.blogs.com and gigaom.com
Thanks. I like the fist site.
voip providers http://www.voip-catalog.com/

For me it is No Jitter. From their web site:
“No Jitter (www.nojitter.com) provides daily blogging and analysis of the enterprise IP-telephony, unified communications and converged networking world.”
Most of this group is from the former BCR magazine. At one time this was basically the Consumer Reports of Enterprise Telecom. They are associated with VoiceCon trade shows. They tend to miss the mark on the medium business market in my opinion but are overall very informative.
I am not familiar with all of the sites listed however I would caution anyone from considering voip-news.com a valid source of actual news or unbiased information.
This seems to be a lead generating web site. My guess is that the manufacturer or VARs/Dealers sign up Tippit, Inc, which runs this site. Most likely the VARs/Dealers receive the contact information from people who request one of their guides as a lead.
This is from Tippit’s web site:
“Tippit, Inc. operates as an online business media company. It offers demand generation services, such as generating leads, as well as market intelligence services. The company also provides awareness and reach programs, including white paper syndication, editorial Web-casts, target advertising, and outbound campaigns. It serves CRM, telephony, human resources, information technology, and business finance markets. Tippit, Inc. was founded in 2005 and is based in San Francisco, California.” http://www.tippit.com
I vote for voip-info.org. It’s the best source of documentation for what I do every day: hacking asterisk.
From LinkedIn
I would have to say No Jitter. I visit it several times a week and have attended several webinars. The speakers and presentations from Voicecon are very interesting and informative.
Thanks for making this list John, but what a cheesy picture you chose for the article. ;)
There’s a lot of good sites listed with a wealth of information. You haven’t missed much. When it comes to news though, I prefer not having to filter through the bulk of information out there and a clean, concise update of what’s “news.” With that being said, my picks would be:
1. VoIPMonitor.net
2. Fierce VoIP
3. GigaOM
TMC can be good at times but it’s a bit of information overload as they push tons of news and it’s horrible trying to navigate their website.
From LinkedIn
Phone+ Mag and VoIP-News.com are the main sites I visit to keep up with current telecom trends. I also keep an eye out for any facts/statements/predictions that come out from the Gartner, Yankee and Aberdeen Groups.

Phone+
One very important VoIP site I would have put on my list if I would have remembered it at the time. You can’t have VoIP without Nerd Vittles!!!
http://nerdvittles.com
I love GigaOM and Voip-Info, however, the list would not be complete without http://truvoipbuzz.com
