I love GigaOM and Voip-Info, however, the list would not be complete without http://truvoipbuzz.com

One very important VoIP site I would have put on my list if I would have remembered it at the time. You can't have VoIP without Nerd Vittles!!!

Phone+ Mag and VoIP-News.com are the main sites I visit to keep up with current telecom trends. I also keep an eye out for any facts/statements/predictions that come out from the Gartner, Yankee and Aberdeen Groups.

Thanks for making this list John, but what a cheesy picture you chose for the article. ;)

There's a lot of good sites listed with a wealth of information. You haven't missed much. When it comes to news though, I prefer not having to filter through the bulk of information out there and a clean, concise update of what's "news." With that being said, my picks would be:

1. VoIPMonitor.net
2. Fierce VoIP
3. GigaOM

TMC can be good at times but it's a bit of information overload as they push tons of news and it's horrible trying to navigate their website.

I would have to say No Jitter. I visit it several times a week and have attended several webinars. The speakers and presentations from Voicecon are very interesting and informative.

I vote for voip-info.org. It's the best source of documentation for what I do every day: hacking asterisk.

For me it is No Jitter. From their web site:
"No Jitter (www.nojitter.com) provides daily blogging and analysis of the enterprise IP-telephony, unified communications and converged networking world."

Most of this group is from the former BCR magazine. At one time this was basically the Consumer Reports of Enterprise Telecom. They are associated with VoiceCon trade shows. They tend to miss the mark on the medium business market in my opinion but are overall very informative.

I am not familiar with all of the sites listed however I would caution anyone from considering voip-news.com a valid source of actual news or unbiased information.

This seems to be a lead generating web site. My guess is that the manufacturer or VARs/Dealers sign up Tippit, Inc, which runs this site. Most likely the VARs/Dealers receive the contact information from people who request one of their guides as a lead.

This is from Tippit’s web site:
"Tippit, Inc. operates as an online business media company. It offers demand generation services, such as generating leads, as well as market intelligence services. The company also provides awareness and reach programs, including white paper syndication, editorial Web-casts, target advertising, and outbound campaigns. It serves CRM, telephony, human resources, information technology, and business finance markets. Tippit, Inc. was founded in 2005 and is based in San Francisco, California." www.tippit.com
