BentBit, LLC out of Englewood, CO. has been a partner with us since November 2010. Blake Dearborn, Owner of BentBit, was able to create an amazing opportunity for his company with an interesting vertical market.
How did you decide to develop this vertical market?
It began with one of my existing clients, Maid Brigade. I had the unique opportunity of writing the software for their National Sales Center and within the last 2 years this relationship has blossomed. They were using a VoIP phone solution for their remote agents, but the technology and customer service was terrible. I decided that I wanted to find a better VoIP product for them. I interviewed several VOIP solutions to see what they could put together. At the time, I wasn’t looking at the residual revenue stream, I was just looking for the best solution.
Why did you choose FreedomVoice?
I did a ton of research! The main thing that set FreedomVoice apart is that you own and develop your own product. Another thing that stood out to me was the honesty and integrity vibe I get from your company. These two traits make for a really good relationship. Once I decided FreedomVoice was my vendor of choice, I knew I needed training. I don’t sell products that I am not familiar with myself. The training helps a lot to just know what you offer, get up to speed with what’s current and know what to sell, how to sell and how it’s meant to be configured. The time that Cory and Jon took to teach myself and the younger guys about the technology was invaluable, and there are a ton of tools in place to help you succeed.
What did you do to move the Maid Brigade opportunity forward?
After completing the training, I was on fire! While I knew I had a solution in place for Maid Brigade’s National Sales Center, I also knew Maid Brigade had franchises all over the United States, and there was more opportunity for me! So, I decided to attend their annual trade show to get some exposure. After all, a thousand bucks is nothing to promote a good product for your customers, and Bob Harrison agreed to come to the show and represent FreedomVoice with me. It’s great to have the support offered by your company! We now have 12 quotes out there from the show with 100’s of seats of possibility. In order to keep the interest for those that haven’t signed up and the training going for those that have, Bob and I collaborate on a weekly webinar. The sales cycle could be anywhere from 90 days to a year. Maintaining a standing webinar holds interest and gets commitments from those that haven’t signed. There are over 100 franchisees and I now have a connection to 50. In the next couple months, I plan on continuing the momentum and gaining entry points to teach them more about their options. Next year I will attend their tradeshow in NYC for further opportunities. At the end of the day, I want my customers to have a really great experience.
Tell us more about your company, how many employees do you have?
We are very small, 3-4 people.
How long have you been in business?
Open for 2 years.
What other services do you sell?
Web, email & application hosting, software development for industrial and medical industries.
Is there anything else you would like to include?
I mean, I have to say that you guys are awesome. It’s great having the superior support your company provides. Everyone seems to want to help me succeed and provide an outstanding product to my customers. This really sets you apart from other companies. I strongly suggest getting out to trade shows. Have FreedomVoice bring out a Channel Manager and sell the show with you. With the marketing materials, the booth, a dedicated Channel Manager, you have all of the components. There’s no reason why you can’t get out there, and be successful as a dealer.
