What do you think? Do most people outside of telecom really know what business VoIP PBX means? Maybe that is the reason why every business in the world isn’t running a business VoIP PBX system yet. Maybe they just don’t know which terms to search to find the right business phone system. Let’s take a moment and dissect the term, business VoIP PBX.
Business
Pretty straight forward… This tells us that it meant for business and not residential use, a business product if you will. OK, easy enough.
VoIP
VoIP or Voice or Internet Protocol is not a term everyone knows. How do I know this? Well, I was talking to a friend the other day who is employed in blue collar line of work and he had no idea what the technology was. I do think many people know what VoIP is, but not everyone . PBX
The term PBX or Private Branch exchange is known by many, but there are definitely consumers who have yet to run across this term. I mean, if you didn’t know the term you could just as easily think that it is a type of bicycle or TV channel right? Feel free to read the definition of Private Branch Exchange, but basically, the sole requirement is that it is an interface that allows for the routing of calls.
Business VoIP PBX
So to clarify, business VoIP PBX is a business phone system that utilizes the Internet and allows for the routing of calls to different end points. People are switching over to business VoIP PBX systems because of the tremendous VoIP benefits and VoIP features the systems offer. Also, business VoIP PBX systems allow business to cut costs, and who doesn’t want that!
