On June 24th, 2009, FreedomVoice came across a post on TMCnet discussing an unfortunate situation which some of America’s finest are being faced with. Although representing our country on foreign soil, VoIP service providers are still forcing soldiers to pay to maintain their current VoIP service when they are on tour, even if they are not using the service.
FreedomVoice has the utmost respect and support for America’s soldiers, and in response to this undesirable VoIP service situation, we are announcing a new solution specifically created for members of the United States armed forces.
Effective immediately, any soldiers utilizing the FreedomIQ business VoIP service will have the opportunity to reap the benefits of the FreedomIQ Military Suspension Plan. The FreedomIQ Military Suspension Plan will allow military personnel to keep their contract with FreedomVoice with no obligation to pay monthly fees while traveling abroad for military purposes. Upon return, all the soldier has to do is notify FreedomVoice that they want their account reactivated and they will be able to pick up right where they left off.
FreedomIQ is a business VoIP solution benefiting companies of all sizes across the nation. Our hope is that members of the military with businesses will find value in our Military Suspension Plan. FreedomVoice encourages residential VoIP service providers to create similar service options, so that members of the military without business VoIP needs, but who still would like to use residential VoIP service, can also benefit. FreedomVoice took the initiative to create this plan in order to support those who have so fearlessly protected this country.
This post is in response to Tom Keating’s blog on TMCnet.
