The customer, a consulting firm for government contractors, was a 20-phone account using a traditional on-premise solution. The problem was they had an old system that was in disrepair. They needed something else, something new. It was a matter of selecting either hosted or premise.
A hosted solution really resonated with them; however, they needed adequate bandwidth and they had reservations from hearing horror stories. They wanted hosted for the features, mobility, unified messaging, and were very conscientious about their cost savings.
What Set FreedomVoice Apart from the On-Premise Solution
FreedomVoice was willing to put their money where their mouth is by negotiating a great rate, and we as a company decided to step up and learn how an MPLS circuit with FreedomVoice would work. We first showed them the ROI with rented telephones and how it would save them money. We then presented the MPLS circuit, and this took away their anxiety of trying hosted. Together with the hosted solution, equipment, circuit, and rented system, we could save the customer over $100 a month! And the technology was more robust! With the benefits and flexibility, they signed the document. The customer is super excited!

I think MPLS is a very strong addition to the FreedomVoice offering. Now we can give the QoS in a controlled environment by being able to deliver the MPLS circuit. It’s a win-win! It sealed the deal in this configuration. They were looking at cable and FIOS, and the ROI wasn’t there. With Level3 MPLS it’s now a managed solution, and the client loved it!
