New Feature Debut: Customizable CNAM

CNAM-crystal-ball

Heads up, chums:

We’re rolling out a new feature!

Our customizable CNAM (Caller NAMe) feature looks up your caller’s name using a massive, constantly-updated database of name & number pairings and displays it on your VoIP phone right alongside the caller ID phone number.

That is – if that’s where you want it. You’re free to specify which area on your phone’s display you’d like to use to show this information.

Being able to quickly see your caller’s name means you can screen calls with confidence when you don’t have time to waste. If your phone starts ringing in the middle of a complex task and you don’t recognize the number, you’re probably going to be hesitant to pick it up out of fear that even a brief conversation will derail your brain-train. But what if it is an important client calling from their cell? You know – the client for whom you’re doing that all-consuming project? CNAM helps you decide whether or not to reach for that receiver.

Even better, the information gets stored on your VoIP phone. Scenario: You’re away from your desk and come back to a missed call from a number you don’t recognize. And they didn’t leave a message. Normally, you might write this off and opt to call back later in the day (if at all). With CNAM, you can be more secure in knowing whether it is someone you need to contact right away or someone you can follow-up with a little later in the day. Or at all.

Finally, CNAM helps you deal with pesky or harassing phone calls. You might be surprised how easily you can disarm a telemarketer and discourage them from calling back if you start the call by addressing them by their name.

Sound like something you want for your FreedomIQ service? For pricing information and to add customizable CNAM to your account, reach out to your dealer or contact Client Services at iqsupport@freedomvoice.com or 888-955-3520 ext. 2.
