Backlit LCD

High Resolution Display
Easy to read display for phone set up, call information, system status and future applications.

Expansion Module Support
These phones support the use of Expansion Modules which provide additional keys for expanded call handling functionality, such as speed dials, buddy indicators, call parking or line appearance.

Power over Ethernet (PoE)
Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology transmits electrical power, along with data, to remote devices over standard electric cable in an Ethernet network. With a PoE switch, your phone will be powered directly from its network cable.

Lines Supported
The number of individual phone lines the phone can handle. Each of the "Line" buttons can have several uses. First, it can represent a Line Appearance, essentially another phone number from which you can send and receive calls. Second, it can represent a speed dial number. Third, it can be a status/buddy indicator for another line. For example, a secretary may have a button assigned for his/her boss, which would light whenever the boss is on the phone. Otherwise, it functions as a speed-dial, allowing easier transfers. Fourth, it may act as a call-park/queue indicator. If you wanted to pick up a call from another desk, you could park the call in the holding lot and pick it up from another phone. A button could be assigned to represent that parking lot. One of the line buttons is always reserved for your "primary" direct inward dial number.
